Attend a Christmas feast at Montferrand, become involved in a drunken scuffle, defeat Lord Bernard at chess, and meet a very talented minstrel; discover that the minstrel is the King of the Pech and that he has kidnapped Lord Bernard's minstrel; enter the King of the Pech's Hall under magical duress against own recommendation - then leave quickly; escort Zola to meet the King of the Pech and return the minstrel to Lord Bernard who exiles him (mostly for his own safety); escort Zeebebah and Sertorius to the beseiged Castelnaudary; tell De Montfort he is unwise to maintain a seige over winter; help evacuate some civilian craftspeople from the citadel in some bizarre airlift operation (+?
