Finances

The finances of the commune of Bugarach, and those of the covenant of Summis Infractus Revividus, are one and the same for the time being since the commune is, more or less, a fiction created by Bertrand de Gevaudan for the benefit of the magi and himself.

Currently, there is not steward to manage the funds of the commune, so Bertrand is using his, albeit limited, skills in this area to manage affairs. He would like to find someone to recruit to perform this role, so that he might find time to attend to other matters.

Income

Members of the commune contribute some of the produce of their farmlands to the provost, Bertrand, in exchange for his advocacy, the protection of his soldiers, and perhaps the support of the band of scholars that he -apparently- patronises...

Bertrand also continues to pursue his old career, raising and training companies of fighting me - although his duties prevent him from leading them in person.

There is also some talk of searching for woodcutters to move into the forests surrounding the Pech de Bugarach in order so the timber might be harvested in order to fill the needs of the building (and re-building!) projects which seem to be occurring across the county.

Treasury

The treasury is far less than it should ideally be. A hard winter consumed much of the small supply of coin and the lumps of unworked silver that the magi have are of limited use in trading and barter with anyone other than a silversmith or moneychanger.
