Zola of Merinita

You lift a large bronze ring to knock on the stone door. No one answers. If you continue to look you may find Zola on the roof, standing amongst several large stones, each of which appears to be a replica of the building you are standing on, but upon closer inspection each is slightly different, with the addition of external stone walls, or variations the roof line, the entry, the external buildings and so on. When you look up you find a amber eyed young woman with classical Italian features glancing at you with an air of aloofness - waiting for you to address her.

Background

Zola, was born in Milan, one of a long lineage of faerie blooded architects, engineers and artists. Her blessed creative bloodline was a gift from the fey for services rendered by her ancestors centuries ago, and has produced some of the greatest works in the Mediterranean. Her family runs a school in a decadent compound in Milan training gifted and mundane individuals in the academic and practical aspects of their craft.

Possessing the family gift, Zola was trained in the most unfeminine field of architecture, and her magical training was skewed to develop her natural affinity for earth. She completed several projects in Milan, finding it easiest to work as a man, to enquire after her work, ask for Zanebono. She expects that her works in Toulouse will make her famous.

Since arriving at the covenant in summer 1220, Zola has tried to make herself useful while establishing how things work when magi that aren't from the same family congregate. She has remodelled the interior of the upper building, defeated the West Wind, charmed the faerie king and his enchanted door and negotiated for the exchange of a piece of the covenants fountain stolen by the king.

Current activities

Zola is preparing to interrogate the statue and continuing to improve the covenants amenities.

Appearance and personality

Zola is an attractive woman of average height. She has striking amber eyes, and long dark braids which she secures at the back of her head in an elaborate fashion. When she is male she appears handsome, with brown eyes and a simple pony tail. Typically she dressed in clothes fashionable in Milan, far more feminie that the robes of her contemporaries.

Zola is talented in her field and expects that others are aware of this and will offer her the respect she feels that she is entitled to. She is determined to succeed, and plans to do so in the near future.

Sigil

Zolas sigil is inspired by her craft, it is based on the great Roman aqueducts, and a tri-layered series of aches, that fit within a circle.

Virtues:Zolas gift is from her dwarven bloodline (minor), her bloodline also provides the cosmetic benefit of unaging features; she has a major magical focus for construction, an affinity with terram, and free artistry. Her similarly blessed parens was especially skilled.
Flaws:Zola is ambitious and senstive to desrespect. Her magic only functions under certain conditions and her fairy blood makes her susceptible to a faerie nusience.

Admonishment of the Unruly Steel ReTe 25

Wards the caster against dirt, glass, stone, and metal for the duration of the spell. This makes the caster impossible to hit with metal weapons, but does not cause her to float above the ground! (Base 5, +2 metal, +2 sun)

Gang of Invisible Stonecutters ReTe15
R: Voice, D: Momentary, T: Group
Cuts ten blocks of neatly dressed stone, each of up to one cubic pace in size, in an instant. The caster must make a successful Finesse roll to properly size the blocks. (Base 2 + 1 stone + 2 voice +2 group, see Covenants p51)

Horde of Invisible Masons ReTe25
R: Voice, D: Momentary, T: Group x100
Assembles a large stone building, involving up to one thousand cubic paces of material, in a moment. The caster must be holding earth and needs to make a successful Finesse roll based on the complexity of the building. (Base 2 + 1 stone + 2 voice + 4 group x100, see Covenants p51)

Horde of Invisible Sappers ReTe25
R: Voice, D: Momentary, T: Part x1000
Excavates a massive amount of earth or stone, 10,000 cubic paces of earth or a mere 1,000 cubic paces of stone, as if it had been removed by a large number of workers. The caster must make a successful Finesse roll to properly complete the excavations to their imagined specifications. (Base 2 + 1 stone + 2 voice + 4 part x1000, see Covenants p51)

Allows the caster to assess the areas suitablity for construction (Base 4).

Creates an intricate model, typically of a building, out of earth or stone; Finesse rolls required. (Base 2, +1 stone, +2 complexity/flexibility, +2 touch, see Covenants, p51)

Works a group of earth, stone, or glass objects into a very complex form. (Base 1 + 1 touch + 2 group + 1 stone or glass + 2 complexity/flexibility)
