After Jhelom

"Father, I recently visited Jhelom, where my travelling companion Marcel was hired by Prince Celestyn to perform music at a party he was holding. At the time, Celestyn took me aside to mention that he was investing in airships and funding the construction of a skyship dock in the city. I have found him to be honorable, if mistrustful of Trinsic, and he stated that unlike some of the other princes in Jhelom, he wished to avoid conflict with Trinsic. Considering the recent events, this would be fortunate. We discovered later that Prince Celestyn is on a course of action that has definate implications for relations between Trinsic and Jhelom. He seeks to unify Jhelom under himself, as High Prince or King of Jhelom, as Karol was historically before the days of the unification. He spoke with a Speaker from Skara Brae, Valicus Hunter, who brought him into contact with the spirit of Karol, and who urged and presumably assisted him in performing a ritual to replicate the events that lead to Karol becoming Jhelom's King. Prince Celestyn had the party that Marcel played in, where he made public his embarkation during the midst of a ceremony, and promptly entered the ritual. This resulted in Princess Veronika declaring vendetta against him. Princess Basia openly supports Celestyn, while the princes Kazimierz and Przemsyl were opposed, but refrained from open declaration of Vendetta, although Kazimierz's supporters seem to have taken covert actions attempting to sabotage the ritual, but were stymied. Our presense, along with that of other foreigners who had come to aid Celestyn, lead to others taking us as being supporters of Celestyn, and possibly raising speculation that the Society of Honor or Trinsic might be involved in Celestyn's attempts to take primacy in Jhelom, which Celestyn stated he did not want to occur, but it was too late by that point to do anything about it if people did take it that way. Celestyn successfully completed the ritual, and returned a few days after his embarkation, and began to prepare action to take advantage over the opposing princes in order to secure his primacy. I do not know what the results of this will be, but it is something you should be aware of, and with the involvement I have come into these events, I have aquired inside information about this. Fortunately, no one seems to know anything about me other than that I am a Society of Honor member, or I suspect I would have drawn much more attention. I hope this information is helpful, and if you have already heard tell of it, this should clear up any confusion and confirm that things are happening in Jhelom.

Your son, Robert."
