ShadowMonsters: Gangs

Our Turf, Our Rules

Chiller Thrillers

Symbol: A skull with a bloody icicle in one socket

One of the lowest and meanest gangs in the Redmond Barrens the Chiller Thrillers are known for violence and destruction. With a dislike for metahumans and a tendancy to attract the less savoury types (even for gangers) the Chiller Thrillers were a bee in alot of bonnets.

Recently they allied themselves with a Fixer named Long Nuyen, who used them for various low end shadowruns and other such endeavours. In return they provided him with protection from his various enemies.

Food Fight: The leaders of the Chiller Thrillers try and hold up a Stuffer Shack after Long Nuyen learns that the target of his wrath Julian Pungar is using the place for some unknown purpose. The six highest ranking members of the gang were quickly taken to pieces (literally) by the group.

The Death of Long Nuyen?: While having one of their many parties and awaiting the return of their leaders, the Chiller Thrillers are assaulted by the group. A combination of rampant violence and a patient sniper combined to result in the death of every living person within the compound. The only members to survive are the few who were not present at the time.

Aztekans

They are a long way from Azltlan, but home is where the heart is, and the Aztech do love to collect those hearts.

Symbol: Stylised Aztech Skull

The Aztekans have a strong link to the old Aztech ways, and have many in their gang who can trace their heritage back to the Aztechs. Many left Aztlan because of the prejudice against Native Americans in Aztlan, and have formed a gang in the Redmond Barrens of Seattle. With a strong warrior code, and strong links to the resurgent Aztech religion (despite it's links to Aztlan) they do not take lightly to slights of any kind. They still appear as a leather jacket wearing group of thugs, but once directed towards a cause, their true might becomes known.

A few years ago a war almost started between them and the Phr33k3r5. Intervention by the local Fixer, Dr Raven, revealed that it was the Sykes who were causing the trouble in an attempt to destroy the Phr33k3r5 and Aztekans in order to claim their turf. The Aztekans all but destroyed the Sykes with the help of the Phr33k3r5.

Their leader is a Shaman named Al Wolfa. He got this name from a group of thugs he rode with while young. They could never remember that Lobo was spanish for wolf, and simply gave up correcting them. Though named after a wolf, he is actually a shaman of Quetzalcoatl the Aztech serpent god. He has recently proclaimed that he would put an end to the demon that has been preying upon his gang in the last few months.

Site of Desecration: After returning fromt he moutains Nian got some information regarding a courier company which was involved in transporting her into the Redmond Barrens, Quicky Bix Couriers. Unable to gleen any more information she ordered a pick-up in a secluded location and abducted the couriers. She didn't learn much and decided to keep the couriers for Creeper, but decided to drop the van right outside an Aztekan compound. When the courier company showed up to retrieve its van, she mind controlled a ganger to attack them, who was promply shot dead.

The Sykes

A long way from the top.

The Sykes were once much more than they are now, but they made a play for power and failed. Backed by an unknown sponser through the fixer Long Nuyen, they made a play to be the dominant force over their area. They started a war between the Aztekans and the Phr33k3rs, and kept the fires of war burning. But they were found out by a group of Shadowrunners and almost destroyed. The remnants then gathered around a figure who promised them power, only to find they were fuel to be burned in his plans. They were saved by the very runners who destroyed them and are now barely clinging to existance.

Phr33k3r5

Whatever the thrill, whatever the high, whatever the buzz.
