The Beowulf's Blade is an occult cult in the SS who specialize in an the re-emerging forces of magic and newly emerged Ethertech sciences. The primary goal of this organisation seems to be the destruction of a global conspiracy of magical beings known as the Pretenders, who they believe are working in conjuction with the so called 'global Jewish cabal' to overthrow all good proper Aryans etc. Many of their members are magic practitioners from all corners of Germany and her former colonies. Their interests in America seem to be at the moment the harvesting of souls for unknown purposes via abductions and grisly murders. They appear to have many other interests outside of this such as numerous attacks against other prominent factions and espionage.
The Office of Extraordinary investigations was formed for cases that flat out couldn't be solved or cases that made mention of strange and unusual phenomenon. It's members include some of America's most respected into occults, myths, legends. It also has a loyal core of highly skilled agents who are well aware of the truth behind the practice of occult. The Director of this office is Professor Harry Mitchell, who has a doctorate in American History and Religious Studies from Harvard. It appears this organisation is subordinate in some respects to the CIA - E Division
The CIA E Division is a virtually unheard of organisation that has only recently shown a public front to the party, their members consist of a mixture of government agents and magic practitioners. Their goals and objectives have not yet been discovered, however it is apparent that they are an enemy of the Beowulf's Blades and have made some efforts to shut them down. They also appear to wield a great deal of clout over other government agencies such as the OEI.
The Calzone family is the weakest Italian organized crime family in New York most of their business came from the Prohibition period, however with the passing of that business dried up and they were forced to expand into gambling and prostitution in order to stay afloat.
The Castiglione family is widely known as the most vicious in New York, they have most of the major law enforcement chiefs in their pocket and all but control the importation of illegal drugs and illegal weapons. They never appreciate other muscling in on their business and have a reputation for making bloody examples of any competitors, they are also the wealthiest and most powerful family in New York.
The Capote family is the most approachable of the three major crime families in New York, their primary business is running gambling dens and running betting rings. They also are involved in smuggling fairly heavily though this is less useful to them these days.
This is an organisation not apparently aligned with any major power group. Their goals and objectives are unknown but they do appear to be enemies of the Beowulf's Blades and the Triads. The only positively identified member appears to be a Chinese Sorceress named Mei Jing, Mei appears to be married a Caucasian gentleman within the group but his name or talents at the moment are unknown. The final member of the group is Das Mannpanzer, who earned overnight fame in New York after the dockyards shootout. All three members appear to be very good friends and loyal to each other.
This group appears to a a mage's cult or society that has numerous members. Their emblem is a human hand holding a black rose by the stem and a thin trickle of blood is dripping fromt he clenched fist.
During the Chinese Immigration to the America's during the 1850's brought some of the few remaining magical practitioners from China to a land of opportunity and freedom in order to escape the chaos of China at the time. These remnants of the sorcerers formed into a society known as the Jade Knives. Their power comes from the Triad families across America that they extensively control. Each of the Triad family heads reports directly to a member of the Jade Knives's inner circle all of whom are powerful sorcerers. In turn these powerful sorcerers assist the Triads in running their day-to-day business with their own unique skills.
