Notes on Particular Noble Houses
House Aeren: Claimed title King/Queen to emphasise independence from the early empire (they joined later than most of the original 12 Archduchies).
House Aglondier: Granted title of Baron by a previous Archduke of Diemed.
House Avan: Claimed title Prince/Princess to stress close historical ties with House Roele.
House Brosen: The Brosen line married into the Mierelen line and remains unbroken in terms of bloodline and descent.
House Cariele: Eluvie Cariele retains personal status as an Archduchess due to unbroken lineage. The last Emperor was Eluvie cariele's father.
House Elin: Original lineage extinct. Lands granted to Daouta line by a previous Emperor. The last emperor granted the Daouta's Ducal status.
House Endier: Granted title of Baron by a previous Archduke of Diemed.
House Khorien: Harald Khorien doesn't care for titles but one of his ancestors claimed the title Duke. Darien Avan secured formal recognition of this title after Khorien pledged fealty to the throne of Avanil.
House Mhor: Mhor is an assumed title, technically the Mhor line are Archdukes.
House Osoere: Hereditary rulers of Osoerde, last remaining scion is William Moergan. (The Osoere line married into the Moergan line). Osoerde is currently ruled by Jaison Renech.
House Roesone: Descended from the hereditary Barons of Caercas.
House Tael: Originally the Barons of Tireste, the Tael line seized control of two failing Archuchies, Ghieste and Dhalaene. To date, the Tael line has been unable to secure Archducal title from the Anuirean Emperor, leading them to create their own title of Grand Duke. Technically Gavin Tael's title remains Baron of Tireste (though no one dares refer to him as such).
House Talin: Originally a March County, granted Ducal status by a past Boeruine Emperor. The Talin line died out before the establishment of the current ruling theocracy.
House Tuornen: The founder of Tuornen, though of the Alam line, had no formal title beyond banneret of family estates.
