Vis Sources

The Healing Berries

First discovered by an expedition to a strange wood during April 1220 these red berries were later proven to contain Creo vis. The total amount harvestable appears to be about six pawns worth, however a pact with the Forest means that the magi only harvest three each spring, and must help the forest defeat the 'black wolf' that 'steals its children'.

The Essence of Lightening

After Zola defeated the west wind Titus found a pawn of Auram vis contained in the ashes that were left behind by the last lightening strike. This can be reproduced after Zola, Sertorius, Rafi, Sir Bertrand and his men repeated the defeat. Zephyrus has not been forthcoming, since his trouncing at the hands of Titus, alas.

The Breath of Winter

Titus discovered that the first ice forming in the covenants fountain during winter is accompanied by four ice crystals growing on the black stone. Each of these crystals contains one pawn of Aquam vis.

The Bath of Healing

Discovered by Sertorius; a bath house in Rennes-le-Bains uses salty water that contains Corpus vis. The covenant gained unrestricted accessto the bath house. The original amount harvestable was three pawns each year, however this has dropped to two since 1223/1362; it is theorised that the Templar saltmining activities might have something to do with this...

Blood from the Stone

Discovered first by young Arwa, and properly explored by a troupe of magi in Winter 1224/1363, this is a large carved stone box inside a magical regio that seeps a red fluid from its base. This fluid flows out of the regio, and out of the cave in which the regio lies, and is collected by the Templars for its salt! The box itself has a very heavy lid, and the efforts of a pair of soldiers and Zola's magic could not lift it - although some of the magi present suggested that perhaps they should not open it! Four pawns of Corpus vis were extracted by Titus initially. A repeat visit is expected to see if the yield remains constant and to determine if this source is linked to the Bath of Healing in any way...

Magical Stones

One of the rock faces in an old haunted mine seems to produce small colourful pebbles that contain Terram vis. The harvest seems to be a stable three pawns per year. The magi continue to debate what to do with the ghostly miner, but no plans have come forth as yet.

The Dragon's Tears

In a cave hidden behind a waterfall in the Pyrenees five pawns of Vim vis can be collected once per year by following these instructions.

Pas-a-Pas

The Covenant finally discovered the means to gather Intellego vis after Sertorius walks the path alone - sure to not deviate - though he still wonders about the Unholy Knight? The amount that can be harvested appears to be about three pawns, although this might increase as more of the puzzle is revealed...

The Bee King

Anatol discovered a bee hive that appears to contain Rego vis. So far the magi have made no atempt to harvest the vis.
