While researching the origins and purpose of a mysterious sword, Mirava and her companions went to the city of Jhelom. Whether through fate or by chance, they found themselves allied with one of the princes of the city, Celestyn.
After being caught up in a civil war there, Mirava discovered that looking to the horizon is not something that should only be done in Spiritwood. Though she knows she and her companions have acted as a "fulcrum", according to the druid Crispin, she has yet to discover the full extent of the consequences of their actions... or even the full plans of the prince who they have supported.

The sword of Yeverex is another thing she knows little about. A group of gray-skinned goblins seem to have some connection to it, but it is unclear what role the sword plays... or will play.
Having returned to Matthew's camp to fulfill a contract, the party is in charge of going to Avalon and returning with reinforcements. However, old acquaintances from Jhelom make the return a bit tricky, as they are occupying the town of Paws. It has yet to be seen whether the party will be able to return with their reinforcements.
The sword of Yeverex is another thing she knows little about. A camp in the mountains, guarded by a captain named Matthew, has led to a group of gray-skinned goblins. The goblins seem to have some connection to sword, and to Valicus' family crest, but it is unclear what role the sword plays, or will play, or what the connection is between Valicus' crest and the goblins.
Because of trouble in the mountains, the party is in charge of going to Avalon and returning with reinforcements. However, old... acquaintances from Jhelom make the return a bit tricky, as they are occupying the town of Paws.

Mirava is the second child born to Brienne of Trinsic and Argus of Blackwood Vale, and grew up listening to the stories of her parents. From her father, who is regarded as somewhat of a local expert of the Spiritwood area, she gained a knowledge of woodcraft. From her mother, who was a paladin and an adventurer in her day, Mirava was inspired to adventure.

From her father, who is regarded as somewhat of a local expert of the Spiritwood area, she gained a knowledge of woodcraft and a practical nature. From her mother, who was a paladin and an adventurer in her day, Mirava inherited an adventurous spirit.
From Mirava’s perspective, the old scoutmaster was removed because he would not kowtow to the new lord. Other people, who had reputations for dedicated service and loyalty to the previous Lord Chanseth, began to be removed for similar reasons. Mirava had not had much contact with Aidan Chanseth, but she considers him an incapable ruler due to his removal of the old chief archer, his appointment of new people, and his seeming disregard for traditional methods. Though not particularly traditional herself, Mirava is disdainful of his methods.

Though not particularly traditional herself, Mirava is disdainful of his methods and left Spiritwood partly as a result of that.
Her other reason for leaving was a desire for adventure. She has since joined a group of adventurers, and travels throughout the land.

Stubborn, practical, and loyal, Mirava values usefulness and valiance. Whether scouting the way ahead for danger, stealthily infiltrating a secure location, or acting as a guide in wilderness terrain, Mirava is accustomed to being first into the fray. She can be prickly when dealing with those she perceives as being snobbish sophisticates, and she has a tendency to jump to conclusions. But though she is a bit naïve when dealing with people, she is hardy, sensible, and loyal to those she trusts.

After being caught in a civil war in the city of Jhelom in which she and her companions had to choose sides, Mirava discovered that looking to the horizon is not something that should only be done in Spiritwood. Though she knows she and her companions have acted as a "fulcrum", according to the druid Crispin, she has yet to discover the full extent of the consequences of their actions.
She also finds herself considering joining a mysterious spy organization with interests in Jhelom and other events of note. The catch? Mirava knows next to nothing about it, or the representative she came upon by chance, Radha.
Mira is the current carrier of the sword of Yeverex. But because of the complicated nature of bargaining, the party is conflicted whether to hand the sword over to the Society of Sacrifice as planned, or keep it in case it is needed.
The party has also encountered mysterious financers. Mira suspects another individual she has come across, the mysterious Sita, is also a member of Radha's organization. She and a surprising ally, Robert's brother Arthur, have approached the party with offers to finance excavations. However, problems may have arisen due to the party's indiscretion... more specifically, their indiscretion of informing Robert that they have met with his estranged brother.
Because of recent events, and her interests in joining an organization, Mirava has been thinking a lot lately about the nature of secrecy. She must consider what exactly should be said, to whom it should be said... and that sometimes it's better to keep one's mouth shut altogether.

While Mirava believes leaving was the right decision, it is still a sore issue for her. She sometimes wonders whether she was justified in leaving just because things were bad, or whether she has misjudged the situation and broken her oaths for trivial reasons.

Though not usually the type to dwell on the past, Mirava has lately found herself again questioning her loyalties. Caught in a civil war in the city of Jhelom, Mirava had to decide whether to stay and fight on Celestyn's side, even if she and her companions are ill-prepared for such conflicts, or leave during the battle. Choosing to leave, she wonders whether she has fled when the situation was getting rough.

Mirava is the second child born to Brienne of Trinsic and Argus of Blackwood Vale. She has an older brother, Bran, and a younger brother, Corwin. Brienne and Angus have since retired and are living with Bran in the family home.
Her mother's side consists of Trinsic paladins, fighters, and adventurers. Brienne herself was a paladin and an adventurer in her day. Though she occasionally speaks of her past, she is content in Spiritwood and holds little regret toward leaving her previous life.
Her father's side of the family has a long history of serving the Chanseths, a noble house located roughly north of Spirithold. Like his ancestors, who have been stewards, guardsmen, and loyal retainers for almost as long as the Chanseth line itself, Argus served as a retainer to the previous lord of the Vale. However, he has since settled into retirement, and assists his son and wife taking care of the blackwood groves.
Bran, Mirava's older brother, followed family tradition and began his employ in the service of the previous Lord Chanseth. During that time, he discovered he had a knack for bowmaking and carving. With the aid of Lord Chanseth, Bran opened up a shop. His skill has earned him business from around the land, and has made him modestly wealthy. He provides a comfortable living for his parents and his own family. Though well-traveled thanks to his business, he prefers rural life and has chosen to stay in the home that has housed his family for generations, where he can closely watch and maintain the blackwood trees his business depends upon, and raise his own children with his wife Wylla.
Like his siblings and parents, Corwin is also in the employ of the Chanseths. Unlike his siblings, however, his employment began with Aidan Chanseth. Though there is no hostility between him and Mirava, Mirava feels uncomfortable discussing the circumstances of her leaving the Chanseths' service. Her family has traditionally been known for loyalty to the ruling lords and ladies, and speaking ill of them would undoubtedly be frowned upon.

Sometime around the 3rd or 4th year of Mirava's service, the elder lord Chanseth died and his son, Aidan Chanseth, came to power. The younger Chanseth had a very different approach to management than his father did, one that many disliked. Among the dissenters was the leader of the scout troop (haw haw) Mirava belonged to. While the circumstances surrounding the issue are unclear to anyone but those directly involved, the chief archer was replaced with someone new.
From Mirava’s perspective, the old scoutmaster was removed because he would not kowtow to the new lord. Other people, who seemed to be loyal, began to be removed for similar reasons. Mirava interprets these acts as a lord betraying the loyalty of his people.
Though she was loyal to the old lord, Mirava remains critical of the new one. Mirava has not had much contact with Aidan Chanseth, but she considers him an incapable ruler due to his removal of the old chief archer, his appointment of new people, and his seeming disregard for traditional methods. The combination of these things and others prompted Mirava to go against the traditions of her family, and leave his service.
While Mirava believes it was the right decision, it is still a sore issue for her. Her actions, though seemingly justified, have put her at odds with the traditions of her own family, as well as the tenets she used to uphold. She still wears her old scout medallion with the Chanseth device and words engraved: Strength, Dedication, Loyalty. She sometimes wonders whether she was justified in breaking tradition, or whether she has misjudged the situation and broken her oaths for trivial reasons.

With the aid of Lord Chanseth, Bran opened up a shop. His skill has earned him business from around the land, and has made him modestly wealthy. He provides a comfortable living for his family and his parents. Bran is married to a woman named Wylla, and has 2 children of his own. Though well-travelled due to his business, he prefers rural life and has chosen to stay in the home that has housed his family for generations, where he can closely watch and maintain the blackwood trees his business depends upon.

Inquisitive, impulsive, and watchful, Mirava is most at home exploring new terrain. She is quick to thought and action, and does not tend to hesitate when confronted by danger. Though she approaches situations with a sense of wariness, she is quick to react to circumstances, especially if she believes action will achieve her goals. On one hand, her quick decision-making can be considered a benefit, as it leads to immediate action. On the other hand, it can sometimes be a flaw, as she can overlook better ways of reaching a goal, fail to see consequences of her actions, or misjudge someone or something.
Mirava's impulsiveness inspires her to experiment in situations... even if she might feel some guilt about not acting according to "traditional" ways. She has respect for tradition, but is not bound by it.
Appearance:
Mirava is a young woman of 23 years of age. Though athletic, she tends toward slight of frame, and is of below-average height. She has brown eyes and blond hair usually kept tied back in a braid or in a coil around her head. She has no distinguishing tattoos, birthmarks, or scars. She has an active demeanor. Even if she is not on the move, her eyes are actively watching. She can come off as restless.
Her attire and equipment tends to be utilitarian, and reflects her occupation as a scout. She tends to wear earth-toned clothing of simple design, though it might possess some minimal decoration. Most, if not all, is made of wool since the material apparently allows for moisture-wicking, is durable, and works for most types of weather. Mirava would likely seek out (or have been provided) well-made items of high-quality weaving for functional reasons. It might make her stand out among farmer-types, but it is highly unlikely that she would be mistaken for a noble in her attire.
Background and Family:
Mirava is the second child born to Brienne of Trinsic and Angus of Darkwood Vale. She is the second of two living siblings. She has an older brother, Bran, and a younger brother Corwin. Brienne and Angus have since retired and are living with Bran in the family home.
Her father's side of the family has a long history of serving the Chanseths, a noble house located roughly north of Spirithold. Though Angus is not descended from nobility, his line is filled with those who have acted as stewards, guardsmen, and loyal retainers.
Her mother's side consists of Trinsic paladins, fighters, and adventurers. She is descended from a minor noble house, though perhaps more renowned in name than in finances.
Bran, Mirava's older brother, is currently 27. He began his employ in the service of Lord Chanseth sometime around age 17. During that time, he discovered he had a knack for bowmaking and carving. With the aid of the elder (and now deceased) Lord Chanseth, Bran opened up a shop by himself. He remains in the area, and maintains the family residence while selling his carved goods. He has gained some renown for his skill and provides a comfortable living for his family and his parents. Bran is married to a woman named Wylla, and has 2 children of his own. They resides in the home that has housed his family for generations, though extended thanks to his skill with wood and his financially comfortable situation.
Mirava also began her military career around age 17. By the time her parents retired, she was likely scouting the borders with the elder Chanseth's scouts. Though young, she earned a bit of renown for her skill.
Like his siblings, Corwin began employment at 17. He is now 19. Unlike his siblings, his employment has been with Aidan Chanseth.

Her father's side of the family has a long history of serving the Chanseths, a noble house located roughly north of Spirithold. Though Angus is not descended from ruling nobility, his line is filled with those who have acted as stewards, guardsmen, and loyal retainers. Comfortable with his achievements and duties, he has settled into retirement gracefully, and assists his son taking care of the blackwood groves.
Her mother's side consists of Trinsic paladins, fighters, and adventurers. She is descended from a minor noble house, the Du Fauchons, but Mirava knows little about them. She occasionally speaks of Trinsic and her past as a paladin, but is content in Spiritwood and holds little regret toward leaving her previous life.

Sometime around the 3rd or 4th year of Mirava's service, the elder lord Chanseth died, and the new lord, Aidan Chanseth, came to power. The younger Chanseth had a very different approach to management than his father did, one that many disliked. Among the dissenters was the leader of the scout troop (haw haw) Mirava belonged to. And while the circumstances surrounding the issue are unclear to anyone but those directly involved, it is clear the chief archer was replaced with someone new.
From Mirava’s perspective, the old scoutmaster was removed because he would not kowtow to the new lord. Other people, who seemed to be loyal, began to be removed for similar reasons. Mirava tends to interpret these acts as a lord betraying the loyalty of his people.
Mirava might not have had a lot of contact with Aidan Chanseth, but she considers him an incapable ruler due to his removal of the old chief archer, his appointment of new people, and his seeming disregard for traditional methods. The combination of these things and others prompted Mirava to go against the traditions of her family, and resign.

Her own actions cause her some internal conflict as well.

It might make her stand out among farmer-types, but it is highly unlikely that she would be mistaken for a noble in her attire.

Though athletic, she is slight of frame and is of below-average height (approximately 5'3"). She has no distinguishing tattoos, birthmarks, or scars. Her attire and equipment tends to be utilitarian, and reflects her occupation as a scout. She tends to wear earth-toned clothing of simple design, though it might possess some minimal decoration. Inquisitive and watchful, Mirava is most at home exploring new terrain. Overall, her method of dealing with situations and people is to form judgments quickly and act on them. While she approaches new situations with some degree of caution, she tends to act quickly on her convictions if she believes a course of action will result in success. On one hand, her quick decision-making could be considered decisiveness. On the other hand, it could be considered impulsiveness, as it sometimes causes her to overlook better ways of reaching a goal, or misjudge someone or something.
Mirava has respect for tradition, but is not bound by it. Her impulsiveness often inspires her to experiment… even if she might feel some guilt about not acting according to "traditional" ways.

And while the circumstances surrounding the issue are unclear to anyone but those directly involved, it is clear he was dismissed and replaced with someone new.

Mirava might not have had a lot of contact with Aidan Chanseth, but she considers him an incapable ruler due to his removal of the old scout leader, his appointment of new people, and his seeming disregard for traditional methods. The combination of these things and others prompted Mirava to go against the traditions of her family, and resign.

History:
Background:
Strength, Dedication, Loyalty
Like his siblings, Corwin began employment at 17. Unlike his siblings, his employment has been with Aidan Chanseth.
Strength, Dedication, Loyalty
Mirava might not have a lot of contact with Aidan Chanseth, but she considers him an incapable ruler due to his removal of the old scout leader, his appointment of new people, and his seeming disregard for traditional methods. That, among other reasons, prompted Mirava to go against the traditions of her family, and resign.

The decision was not an easy one to make. While Mirava believes it was the right decision, it is still a sore issue for her. While she was loyal to the old lord, Mirava remains critical of the new lord. However, her family's continued dealings with Aidan Chanseth makes her uncomfortable, even if she does not seek to try and convince them of other courses of action.
Her own actions cause her some internal conflict as well.

History:
Mirava is the second child born to Brienne of Trinsic and Angus of Darkwood Vale. Mirava has two living siblings: an older brother, Bran, and a younger brother Corwin. Brienne and Angus have since retired and are living with Bran in the family home.
Her family has a military history. On her father's side, there is a history of serving the Chanseths, a noble house located roughly north of Spirithold. On her mother's side are Trinsic paladins.
Bran, Mirava's older brother, began his employ in the service of Lord Chanseth sometime around age 17. During that time, he discovered he had a knack for bowmaking. With the aid of the elder (and now deceased) Lord Chanseth, Bran opened up a shop by himself. He remains in the area, and maintains the family residence while selling his carved goods. Bran is married to a woman named Wylla, and has 2 children of his own.
Mirava also began her military career around age 17. By the time her parents retired, Mirava was likely scouting the borders with the rest of her group. Though young, she earned a bit of renown for her skill.

And while the circumstances surrounding the issue are unclear to anyone but those directly involved, it is clear he was dismissed and replaced with someone new.
From Mirava’s perspective, the old scoutmaster was removed because he would not kowtow to the new lord. Other people tended to be removed for similar reasons.
